A good quality example of a Chinese Kraak klapmuts bowl, thinly potted and translucent, and dating from the Wanli period. The centre of the bowl is decorated with precious object, while the cavetto is divided into shaped panels (following the moulding of the body of the bowl) with flowers and peaches in panerls separated by hanging tassels.

1624 A blue and white klapmuts bowl Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China. An exceptional quality bowl decorated with figures in a garden and two deer on the inside of the bowl. Marked with a six character Kangxi mark and of the period.

Dia.: 20,5 cm - H.: 9,5 cm Condition: (UV-checked)- A restored ca. 8 cm hairline running down from the rim, with related overspraying. Otherwise in excellent condition.- The restoration very well executed and invisible to the naked eye, the sound of the bowl intact when tapped.
